Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini arrived in Cairo Tuesday for a short visit that would last for hours.
Frattini will hold talks with members of the Supreme Council of Armed Forces, Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq, his counterpart Ahmed Aboul Gheit, political activists and number of youth representatives to discuss developments in Egypt as well as ways to support Egypt.
Frattini was received by the Italian ambassador to Cairo and a number of foreign ministry senior officials at Cairo International Airport.
