Kuwaiti institutions in talks to invest in Egypt

The Finance Ministry is in talks with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance and a number of investors in the hope of attracting new investment.

The Kuwaiti Liquidity Management House Company and Finance House have both told Egyptian Finance Minister Momtaz al-Saeed that they were willing to increase Kuwaiti investments in the economy here, according to a ministry statement Wednesday.

Saeed received a Kuwaiti delegation Tuesday evening from the two houses, which was headed by Emad Youssef Al-Menih, deputy chairman of the Liquidity Management House.

Saeed welcomes the Kuwaiti initiative, particularly in light of the need for new investment, the statement said.
