Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli reviewed a report prepared by Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad on the activities of the Environment Ministry to raise awareness about Egypt’s international efforts to stand against climate change phenomenon and the measures taken to resume the efforts exerted of the ministry to increase media coverage of the issue.
The ministry implemented integrated media campaigns to raise awareness about environmental and climate change issues within the framework of the presidential initiative of “Go Green”, according to the report.
A national media campaign was launched to raise awareness of climate change at local level, the report said, adding that the campaign included a number of different media activities on the issue.
Fouad said that road banners were mounted to post people on the 27th United Nations climate change conference (COP 27) that was held in Sharm el Sheikh last November.
