Mashat, IFC officials review gov’t offering program

Minister of International Cooperation Rania Mashat had talks with officials from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on means of implementing an agreement signed last month with the cabinet’s governmental offering unit to offer technical assistance to the program.

IFC Vice President Elena Bourganskaia lauded the progress realized in the governmental offering program in light of the efforts exerted by the state to magnify the role played by the private sector.

Mashat welcomed the IFC officials, stressing the government’s appreciation of cooperation with the IFC in light of the 2023-2027 strategic framework to promote empowerment of the private sector.

The two sides reviewed the efforts exerted by the IFC in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to support refugees in Egypt.

Mashat underlined the importance of coordination and integration among the programs being implemented by the UN agencies on the ground to support refugees as well as development programs being implemented by the IFC.

The two sides reviewed developing the healthcare and comprehensive health insurance projects.
