Members of Shubra al-Khaima terrorist cell sent to 15 days imprisonment

Shubra Al-Khaima prosecution arrested suspected members of a terrorist cell for 15 days pending investigation. The members were reportedly in possession of firearms, masks, mobile phones and a quantity of explosives and nails used in the preparation of IEDs.
 
The defendants face the charges of joining a terrorist group aiming to use violence against state institutions, stirring chaos and violence, terrorizing citizens and possession of explosive materials with the intention of disrupting security and public order.
 
The prosecution also ordered that evidence be taken to the criminal lab to be further examined.
 
Security authorities in Qaliubiya have arrested the four Muslim Brotherhood supporters while in a car with the items seized by authorities, in addition to flyers allegedly inciting violence.
 
The defendants have admitted to possessing the seized items with the intention of participating in a demonstration in support of the Muslim Brotherhood in Cairo area of Mattariya, aiming to scare citizens and preventing them from taking a part in the vote on the constitutional referendum.
