The Egyptian Meteorological Authority predicts hotter temperatures and humidity for a period of 13 days until Friday, July 9.
Meteorologists announced in a statement that temperatures will reach its highest levels on Friday, July 2, recording 43C in Greater Cairo and 47C in southern Upper Egypt.
It explained that the peak of the heat wave are Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Meteorologists warned citizens not to be exposed to direct sunlight, stay away from very hot places and to wear cotton clothes.

Southern Upper Egypt: 44C

The Meteorological Authority said that Aswan, Qena, Sohag, Cairo and Giza will see the highest temperatures.
