Meteorologists predict cold weather until Saturday

Meteorological experts are predicting a cold front for the weekend. For the third consecutive day, temperatures in Egypt are expected to hit lower than average rates, ranging between 4°C and 5°C.

Temperatures are expected to fall until Saturday, then rise again with the onset of the spring season.

Waheed Saudi, director of meteorological analysis at the state-run Meteorological Authority, attributed the anticipated cold front to the fact that the country was currently being affected by an anticyclone, accompanied by northwesterly winds emanating from central and southern Europe.

Saudi went on to warn of cold weather, especially at night. He also cautioned against practicing sea navigation or fishing activities due to high wind speeds, especially off the shores of the red sea and across Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.
