Meteorologists predict moderate temperatures and light rain in parts of Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt on Thursday, with active winds also expected for Cairo.
Moderate weather is also predicted in central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, with warmer temperatures expected in southern Upper Egypt, South Sinai, and along the Red Sea mountains.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 18C in Alexandria, 20C in Cairo, 23C in Qena, 24C in Luxor, and 24C in Aswan.
Cold weather and light rain is expected along the northwestern coast during the day, while the northeastern coast will see moderate temperatures and light to moderate rainfall.
Very cold temperatures are predicted across the country by nightfall.
Active winds are predicted for Greater Cairo on Thursday, while light to moderate winds are expected in southern Upper Egypt, northern Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt, possibly disrupting maritime navigation along the north coast, in central and South Sinai and along the Red Sea mountain range.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be rough, ranging between 2.5 and three meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds over both seas.
