Moderate weather for Egypt during Sham al-Nessim holiday

Meteorologists predict moderate weather on Monday during the Sham al-Nessim holiday on Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt at daylight, with mild weather on the northern coasts and central Sinai, moderately hot weather on South Sinai, the Red Sea mountains and northern Upper Egypt and hot temperatures for southern Upper Egypt.

The weather will grow very cold across most of the country by nightfall, with milder temperatures at South Sinai, the Red Sea mountains, and colder weather on Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 24C in Alexandria, 29C in Cairo, 32C in Qena, 33C in Luxor, and 34C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning hours in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and central Sinai.

Winds will be mostly northwestern and moderate across most of the country, occasionally active on Greater Cairo, the northeastern coasts, central Sinai and more active on the Gulf of Suez, potentially disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between one and 1.5 meters in height, with southeastern to northwestern surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height, with northwestern surface winds.
