Two members of former President Hosni Mubarak’s defense team submitted a complaint to Public Prosecutor Abdel Meguid Mahmoud against his decision to return Mubarak to Tora Prison Hospital.
The complaint argues that moving Mubarak back to Tora Prison violates Law 35/1979, which stipulates that leaders in the 1973 October War must be honored, state-run Al-Ahram newspaper reported.
The lawyers who filed the complaint also requested the issuance of a decree to return Mubarak to a military hospital.
Mubarak was transported to Tora Prison from the military hospital in Maadi where he had been staying on Monday after a medical panel put together by the public prosecution determined that his health had improved.
