Cairo Criminal Court adjourned on Monday the retrial of ousted President Hosni Mubarak, his two sons Alaa and Gamal, former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly, as well as six of his aides, on charges of murdering protesters and financial corruption.
The case will now be heard between 14-16 December, to allow the testimonies of former Supreme Council of the Armed Forces chief Hussein Tantawy and chief of staff Sami Annan to be heard.
Mahmoud Kamel Al-Rashidy, Cairo Criminal Court chief, said the court will hear on Monday the testimony of head of military Investigations only, since Major General Hamdy Badin is unable to attend because he is out of the country working for the Egyptian embassy in China, according to a letter sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the court.
The ministry asked the court to set another date to hear his testimony.
The court heard on Sunday the testimony of Mubarak-era Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif on the allocation of villas, exporting gas to Israel, as well as the killing of demonstrators.
