Muslim Brotherhood calls Morsy espionage case ‘ridiculous’

The Muslim Brotherhood blasted the current government for formally accusing toppled president Mohamed Morsy, MB’s supreme guide Mohamed Badie and 34 other Brotherhood leaders of terrorism and espionage, calling the measure “ridiculous.”
 
On Thursday, the group, called on nations from the around the world to pressure the Egyptian government to release Morsy.
 
“The accusations form a new episode in a series of crimes committed by the military coup against the Egyptian people,” read a statement which was issued by MB’s London bureau. “Pro-military judges continue to fabricate ridiculous accusations.”
 
The prosecution called the alleged incident the “biggest espionage case in Egypt’s history.”
