North Sinai Governor Mohamed Abdel Fadil Shosha asserted on Monday while receiving a delegation of the UN Security Council that Egypt is considered the principal supporter of the Palestinian cause.
The UN delegation was visiting El Arish city to inspect the humanitarian response to the crisis in the Gaza Strip.
During their meeting, Shosha discussed painstaking efforts exerted by Egypt to receive and dispatch relief assistance to the coastal enclave.
The governor added the delegation is following upon the genuine efforts, led by the Egyptian Red Crescent and the Egyptian government’s institutions, in cooperation with UN agencies, to ensure the safe and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
