NASL calls for ‘uprising of anger’ on 3 July

The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy (NASL) on Monday called on its supporters to stage an “uprising of anger” on 3 July to march from all mosques to all squares nationwide.

“That day will mark the beginning of the end,” it said in a statement. “This land is for the revolutionaries.”

“Let the endless volcano of anger erupt but keep it peaceful,” the statement added. “Show God your anger.”

The statement criticized the government for reducing subsidies on commodities. “This is a line not to cross and a starting point towards salvation,” it said.

It requested the police and the army to stop harming the rebels and start fearing God. “Fight the coup that advocates secularism,” it called on its people.

The alliance threatened to mobilize demonstrations outside the homes of judges, the president of the Judges Club, the interior minister and the chief commander of the armed forces.

“Freedom for Egypt, glory for the martyrs and pride for the free,” concluded the statement.
