The Higher Education Ministry said Saturday the 2023-2024 academic year at universities will start on September 30.
The decision was approved by the Supreme Council of Universities in its meeting Saturday under Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour, the ministry said in a statement.
The first semester will last for 14 weeks, ending on Thursday, January 4, 2024, while the end-of-semester exams will begin on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, and ends on Thursday, January 25, 2024, it added.
The exams for the second semester will be held during June 2024, the ministry said.
