Nour Party to convene over possible ban on running in parliamentary elections

The Salafi-led Nour Party's presidential board will meet on Tuesday to discuss the administrative court ruling which obliges the Political Parties Affairs Committee to study the legal situation of parties with religious backgrounds ahead of the parliamentary elections.

Nour Party sources said the deputy head of the Salafi Dawa, Yasser Borhamy, discussed with senior state officials the ongoing attack in media on political parties with religious backgrounds. The officials promised Borhamy that the Nour Party would run in the election, according to the sources.
