A police officer died on Wednesday in a Shargiya hospital, after being shot in the head by unknown assailants on a motorcycle.
The 32-year-old officer worked for the deportation force with the Sharqiya Security Directorate.
The assailants also shot another man, a sentry named Tablawy Moussa, in the head. He is currently being treated in critical care in the hospital.
This is the fifth time that armed assailants in Sharqiya have targeted policemen.
