Opposition plans to monitor election fraud

Opposition parties and groups on Tuesday held a conference at the headquarters of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) parliamentary bloc, in which they outlined ten steps to monitor fraudulent practices in November's parliamentary elections. The meeting included delegates from the Wafd, Tagammu, Nasserist, and Ghad parties as well as from the National Association for Change.

“All political forces must unite to save our nation from the ruling party,” said MB General Guide Mohamed Badie.

The meeting participants pledged to station representatives at polling stations to prevent double voting, and to form a news team tasked with daily election coverage and reporting any vote rigging incidents to international news agencies. They will also invite civil society organizations to monitor the elections and report instances of fraud to their international affiliates.
