Prime Minister Moustafa Mabdouli followed up on efforts exerted by the Environment Ministry to solve investors’ problems and support investment climate in Egypt.
Madbouli also highlighted the State’s seriousness in addressing problems that impede investment, in line with directives issued by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
This came during Madbouli’s meeting Thursday 12/1/2023 with Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad.
The meeting also tackled the ongoing efforts exerted by the Environment Ministry to promote the investment climate in Egypt.
During the meeting, Madbouli underlined the need of reviewing the system related to issuing the environmental approvals to the industrial projects.
Fouad pointed out to her ministry’s efforts to shorten the period of issuing environmental approvals to seven working days instead of 30.
The minister further also tackled ways of carrying out investments in the natural reserves through raising the efficiency of several reserves, including Nabq, Ras Mohamed and Wadi el Rayan.
She also presented several proposals to encourage the private sector to invest in the voluntary carbon market, which aims to offset CO2 emissions.
