PM lauds complaints system’s efforts in December, throughout past year

CAIRO, Jan 8 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly lauded the efforts of the government complaints system during December and throughout the past year, directing the system to continue its work in receiving, monitoring and addressing citizens’ complaints, inquiries and real-life problems across various services and sectors.

He stressed that the complaints system represents one of the key pillars for achieving direct communication with citizens, with the aim of improving service quality and addressing shortcomings across different sectors.

Madbouly’s remarks came while reviewing a detailed report on the performance of the Unified Government Complaints System at the cabinet, covering December 2025.

The report was prepared by Tarek al-Refaie, Assistant Secretary-General of the Cabinet for Complaints and Citizen Satisfaction.

Refaie stated that the system received and recorded 179,000 complaints, appeals, requests and inquiries during December.

Following initial review and screening, 134,000 complaints were referred to relevant authorities for handling and response, while 40,000 complaints were archived.

Data review is ongoing for 5,000 additional complaints and requests in preparation for necessary action. (MENA)
