PM says Egypt keen to develop close ties with UAE

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said Egypt is keen to develop close relations with the UAE and push them to broader horizons in all fields, especially in the economic and investment ones.

Madbouly made the remarks on Tuesday during his meeting with the UAE’s Investment Minister Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, in the presence of the governor of the Central Bank of Egypt and the ministers of planning, finance and trade, as well as the chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and the CEO of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE).

The premier updated the Emirati minister on the government’s efforts to improve the business climate, citing the recently-launched incentives to lure foreign investments and give a greater role to the private sector.

On his part, the Emirate minister reviewed his country’s expertise in attracting foreign investments, asserting that Egypt has promising investment opportunities.

The two sides explored available investment opportunities in areas of interest to both countries.
