Popular committees in Alexandria on Sunday managed to free Al-Seyouf spinning and weaving factory after violent confrontation with thugs who had occupied it for a few days with the intention of stealing the machines to sell them on the black market.
“We managed to kick out the thugs and guard the factory,” said Hamdi Megahed from the popular committees, adding that some factory workers connived with the thugs to carry out their crime.
