President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held on Thursday a phone call with newly-elected Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades to congratulate him on the election, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
Sisi wished Anastasiades success in leading Cyprus and more progress and prosperity to his country.
The two leaders hailed the deep-rooted relations between the two countries and expressed their wish to enhance strategic partnership in the upcoming period to serve the aspirations of the two peoples and contribute to reaching stability, security, development and prosperity in the region and the whole world.
