Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed in a phone call, on Tuesday 07/02/2023, with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad Egypt’s solidarity with Syria and its people in the wake of the destructive earthquake that hit the country on Monday.
During the phone conversation, Sisi said he has issued directives for providing all forms of relief aid and assistance to Syria, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
The Egyptian leader also offered his sincere condolences on victims who were killed in the earthquake, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, the Syrian president expressed gratitude for Sisi’s nice gesture, highlighting historical and sisterly relations between Egypt and Syria and their peoples.
