President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi issued directives to pursue efforts to improve the quality of healthcare services.
The health sector is highly prioritized by the State that strives to improve healthcare services offered to citizens, affirmed President Sisi during a meeting held on Sunday to follow up on the development of the health system in Egypt.
The meeting was held in the presence of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Major General Ahmed el Shazly and Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Major General Ahmed el Azazy.
During the meeting, the health minister drew attention to the executive status of the ongoing projects in the health sector, including the renovation of Nasser Medical Institute in Cairo in order to become an integrated medical city, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
He also reviewed a plan to establish a new complex of central laboratories in line with international standards, according to the spokesman.
The meeting also tackled the different presidential health initiatives, said the spokesman.
