President Sisi receives Saudi ambassador to Cairo

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi welcomed the Saudi ambassador to Egypt, Osama bin Ahmed Nuqali on Saturday in Cairo.

Spokesman for the Presidency Bassam Rady said that the Saudi ambassador conveyed greetings from Saudi’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and also handed Sisi an invitation to participate in the 14th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit, scheduled for the end of May in Mecca.

The Saudi ambassador conveyed Saudi Arabia’s deep appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance towards the Kingdom in condemning recent attacks against two petrol pumping stations in Riyadh.

Rady added that the president requested the transfer of his greetings in turn to the Saudi king and the crown prince, affirming Egypt’s solidarity with the Saudi government and people in confronting all attempts to undermine the security and stability of the kingdom and the security of the Gulf in general.

Sisi stressed the strong, solid relations that unite Egypt and Saudi Arabia, adding that current common challenges dictate the need for closer cooperationg between the two countries to confront all threats to Arab national security and regional stability.
