Presidential decree allows Kuwait Emir to own land in Sharqiya

Egypt’s Official Gazette published on Thursday a presidential decree allowing the Kuwaiti Emir to own land in three places in Egypt, giving him status equal to Egyptian citizenship in such cases of land ownership, in accordance with Law No. 143 of 1981.

According to the presidential decree, No.386 of 2017, the first plot that Emir Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah owns is about 26,000 square meters. The land is located near Kassasin al-Sharq, al-Hussaineya locality in Sharqiya governorate. The land was bought from Egyptian citizen Mohsen Ismail Mohamed Aboul Azm.

The second plot is about 517,997 square meters. It is also located near Kassasin al-Sharq, al-Hussaineya locality in Sharqiya governorate. The land was bought from Egyptian citizens Salah al-Serwy, Soaad al-Serwy, Hoda al-Serwy, and Tayseer Sayyed.

The third plot is about 117,358 square meters. It lies in Belbeis, Sharqiya governorate and was bought from Egyptian citizen Sareeh al-Serwy.
