Prices of commodities reduced by 30%, meat sold at LE85 per kilo

The General Company for Wholesale Trade has 5,000 wholesale branches, and 1,350 outlets to pump all kinds of goods to citizens, Adel Abdel Aziz, managing director of the General Company for Wholesale Trade, said, adding that the prices of many commodities have been reduced by 30 percent.

He added, during a telephone interview during the “Tahrir Hall” program broadcast on Sada al-Balad channel, on Wednesday, that the company has sufficient balances of all commodities, including sugar and oil, which cover six months.

The company sells goods with discounts of up to 30 percent, including fresh meat starts from LE85 per kilo.

He added that Sudanese fresh meat costs LE 115 per kilo, and Brazilian meat costs LE 85 per kilo.

Abdel Aziz said Egypt’s meat contracts cover until 2025, adding the Ministry of Supply provides egg cartons at LE 62 in its outlets.

The company has 1,300 mobile vehicles loaded with meat, poultry, and goods from international brand companies and commercial chains that reach the residents of different villages nationwide.

Abdel Aziz said that the Minister of Supply ordered a reduction in meat prices to LE 90 and LE 85 per kilo, and lamb meat to LE 130 per kilo during the Eid al-Adha, stressing that the Supply Ministry offers commodity at discounted prices to face the increase in prices in the markets.
