A new group of Palestinians returning to the Gaza Strip arrived on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Rafah land crossing in preparation for their return to the strip.
A team of the Egyptian Red Crescent received the returnees and their arrival procedures have been facilitated in coordination with bodies concerned. Return kits were distributed to the returnees, while psychological support was provided to the children.
Meanwhile, Egyptian authorities are gearing up to host a new group of Palestinian patients and those who are injured to receive treatment at Egyptian hospitals.
The Ministry of Health and Population has set up a medical checkpoint at Rafah terminal to examine the arriving Palestinians and transfer cases to Egyptian hospitals by fully-equipped ambulances.
