Sabbahi’s campaign upset with alleged systematic poll violations by authorities, opponents

Hamdeen Sabbahi's campaign monitored what it called "systematic interference by police and army in the electoral process," saying they did not allow Sabbahi’s supporters to enter polling stations before checking their proxies.

A spokesperson said this obstructed them from proving irregularities in the official records of the subcommittee judges, which is contrary to the 2014 election law that only gives the right to the committees and subcommittees to check proxies.

The campaign said through Facebook that Ahmed Hanafi Abu Zeid, member of its legal committee, was arrested and detained in the Warraq police station for defending a supporter’s right.

He was also shown beaten allegedly by security forces.

The following are alleged irregularities spotted by the central operations room of Sabbahi’s campaign:

Minya:

– Campaigning inside the Qasim Amin School polling station
– Police prevents campaign representative from filming campaign material
– Judge refuses to accept complaint

– Judge of Samalout Boys Prep School polling station No. 92 arrives in microbus carrying posters of rival candidate Abdel Fattah al-Sisi
– Sisi representatives direct voters in Future Mothers School polling station in Deir Mawas

Desouk, Kafr al-Sheikh:

– Cars carrying posters and promoting Sisi with megaphones outside the Abdel Ati Elementary School polling station
– Local council provides services to Sisi campaign

Al-Arbaeen district, Suez:

– Sabbahi’s representative dismissed from Qasim Amin School polling station No. 19

Hurghada, Red Sea:

– Voters allowed in polling stations carrying pictures of Sisi
