The Cairo Economic Court has scheduled the trial of singer Sherine Abdel Wahab for October 9 on charges of slandering her personal social media manager.
The Public Prosecution had referred the artist, Sherine Abdel Wahab, to criminal trial after a report was filed by her account manager accusing her of using offensive and defamatory language against him. The incident took place before the official report was filed on May 5, 2025, within the jurisdiction of the Second Sheikh Zayed Police Department.
A technical report confirmed the authenticity of the complaint, as it included obscene words attributed to her. This led the Public Prosecution to formally charge her and refer her to trial before the Economic Misdemeanor Court.
