Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry had intensive talks with his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said on his X account on Saturday.
The talks tackled the deteriorating humanitarian and security conditions in the Gaza Strip and the dangerous Israeli escalation.
Both sides underlined the importance of halting such escalation and returning to the political track based on the two-state solution.
