Singer Basma al-Kuwaitiya announced that she was converting from Islam to Judaism.
She made the announcement in a video posted online, saying: “I, Ibtisam Hamid, nicknamed singer Basma al-Kuwaitiya, announce that I am leaving Islam and proudly announce embracing Judaism.”
This follows a recent announcement by Kuwaiti host Mohamed al-Mu’mim, who said he had converted to Christianity in a video which went viral on social medai.
