Sisi arrives in Riyadh for extraordinary joint Islamic-Arab summit

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in Riyadh on Saturday 11/11/2023 to participate at an extraordinary joint Islamic-Arab summit.

Upon arrival at King Khalid International Airport, Sisi was received by Vice Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdul Aziz.

The summit aims to enhance coordination and consultations among Arab and Islamic countries on the Israeli military escalation in Palestine and discuss ways of Arab and Islamic moves to halt Israeli aggression on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.

Sisi’s participation is part of Egypt’s role since the beginning of the crisis to propel ceasefire efforts, deliver humanitarian aid to Gazans, revive peace process and just and everlasting settlement of the Palestinian cause on the two-state solution as per international legitimacy resolutions.
