Sisi discusses cooperation between Egypt, Romania in education

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received the Rector of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies Nicolae Istudor and his accompanying delegation.

The spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, Bassam Rady said that the meeting discussed ways to maximize cooperation between Egypt and Romania in higher education and culture.

The Romanian delegation praised the university edifices constructed by Egypt, especially the University of Technology in New Cairo, which applies the highest scientific and academic standards, Rady said.

President Sisi also stressed the importance of continuing close coordination between the two countries to strengthen relations in various fields, especially academic.

In June, the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies awarded Sisi an Honorary Doctoral Degree during his two-day visit to Romania that month.

The Presidency’s Spokesperson Bassam Rady said that rector of Bucharest Academy Nicolae Istudor asserted the academy’s appreciation for Sisi’s role in achieving stability, development and construction in Egypt and implementing major structural reforms in the social and economic fields through national projects in the various sectors.
