President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Sunday received a phone call from his Kenyan counterpart William Ruto.
Ruto stressed during the call the special importance he attaches to consulting with President Sisi in light of distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and Kenya, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said in a statement.
He praised Egypt’s active role at the continental level, noting Kenya’s keenness to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially investment and trade exchange.
President Sisi, for his part, praised the continued development in the course of bilateral relations between Egypt and Kenya, expressing his appreciation for Kenya, its people and its leadership.
He pointed to the broad prospects for developing relations and advancing frameworks of joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The two presidents discussed developments in regional issues and files related to the African Union, where they expressed their aspiration to continue joint coordination on ways to address various challenges related to security and development issues in Africa.
