Sisi praises role of Egypt’s judiciary

CAIRO, Oct 1 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has praised the role of Egyptian judiciary authorities in deepening the principles of the country’s constitution, strengthening the rule of law and maintaining the rights of citizens in a way that achieves justice, stability and social peace.

During a meeting Sunday with members of the Supreme Council for Judicial authorities, the president said the state is keen on the independence of the judiciary and developing it in a way to cope with contemporary developments.

The meeting, which was attended by Minister of Justice Amr Marawan, Prosecutor General Mohamed Shawqi and president of the Supreme Constitutional Court Bolis Fahmy Iskandar, among top judges, was held on the occasion of the Judiciary Day, said the presidency spokesman.

Members of the council affirmed their keenness to strengthen the principles of justice and the rule of law.

They reviewed with the president efforts to develop the judiciary systems including the swift justice and the use of advanced technology in all judiciary authorities. (MENA)
