Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi congratulated Saturday 20/7/2024 Egyptian Karate heroine Giana Farouk for winning the post of deputy head of Women Sport Africa Network.
Farouk was nominated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Such a victory is considered a new achievement to be added to great sports accomplishments of the female player, said Sobhi.
He added that Farouk has proved her efficiency and experience in sports area not only at the local level, but also at the continental and international level.
Farouk has won the post thanks to the support of the Egyptian state for its sports heroes and comes in continuation of the country’s efforts aimed at empowering youths at home and abroad.
Farouk said she will do her best to develop the female sports in Africa and enhance the participation of women in all sports domains and develop the sports events in Africa to the highest possible levels.
