Stock indexes went up at the end of Monday trading session, rising with the help of purchases by foreign investors, to gain LE1 billion by trading's close.
The main EGX30 index rose by 0.57 percent to reach 6,222 points.
Market capitalization also went up to reach LE404.3 billion, up from LE 403.3 billion at the end of Sunday trading. The exchange took LE1 billion on the stocks during Monday trading.
The EGX70 index, which tracks small and medium enterprises, went up by 0.43 percent to score 523 points, while the broader index EGX100 only went up by 0.01 percent to score 875 points.
