Swimmer Ahmed Akram, made Egypt's best achievement in the history of swimming tournaments after finishing fourth in the men's 1500 m Freestyle final at the World Championship in the Russian city of Kazan on Sunday.
Akram finished with 14:53.66, only 2.58 seconds behind third-placed Ryan Cochrane of Canada and 14 seconds off gold medal winner Gregorio Paltrinieri of Italy.
The Egyptian swimmer also qualified for the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.
