Three dead in Friday clashes, five killed in explosions

Three people were killed and many others injured during Friday clashes between pro-Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators and locals, said a source at the Ministry of Health.
 
Security forces intervened to control the clashes that took place in a number of areas, including Beni Suef, Giza, Sharquiya and Alexandria.
 
The numbers added to the five people killed and dozens injured in the explosions that also took place on Friday.
 
A car loaded with explosives attempted to storm the Cairo Security Directorate building on Friday morning. The blast left four dead and 83 others injured.
 
Another IED exploded near Behouth metro station, killing a police recruit and injuring nine others.
 
A third explosion took place in the Talbiya neighborhood in Haram, but no one was hurt.
