Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir said the food industries’ sector is among the top contributors to the State’s export structure.
During the first quarter of 2024, exports of Egyptian food industries amounted to $1.546 billion, the minister added during an inspection tour of the Port Said Star Factory for smoked seafood in Port Said’s southern industrial park on Saturday 20/04/2024.
Build over 13,000 square meters, with EGP50 million in capital and a work volume of EGP400 million, the factory offers about 400 job opportunities, Samir said.
The factory targets Canadian and US markets, as well as some European and Arab markets, the minister noted.
