Interim President Adly Mansour issued a decree preventing license for taxis and transport vehicles older than 20 years.
The decision was issued in accordance with law No.160 for the year 2013, amending articles of the Traffic Act, promulgated by law No. 66 of 1973.
It is not allowed to renew license for taxis and transport vehicles that have been manufactured 20 years ago, as in section 4 under Article 2 of the traffic law issued in 1973, read the decree.
The decree will be published on Wednesday in the official newspaper, the decree added.
