On Thursday, the Supreme State Security Criminal Court, headed by Judge Hasan Fareed, will resume the trial of 86 Muslim Brotherhood supporters over charges of taking part in a gathering that threatened public peace, showing force, threatening to use violence, murder, attempted murder, damaging public and private property and assaulting police during riots that took place near Kafr al-Sheikh police station.
During Thursday's session, the court will continue analyzing the defense's requests.
Lawyers had requested footage recorded by surveillance cameras outside the Traffic Department on 3 July 2013 at Nasr Square.
The defense had also asked the judge to summon the director of the Blood Bank of Kafr al-Sheikh, the chief of the Department of Health Affairs in Kafr al-Sheikh and the imam of Sidi Qotb mosque for testimony, as well as defense witness Atef Hosny.
