
The Washington Post reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump is considering adding 36 countries to the list of countries whose citizens are banned from entering the US, including Egypt.
An internal memo, seen by the American newspaper, set a 60-day deadline for the targeted countries to comply with certain requirements or face a full or partial ban on entry.
The US is considering restricting entry to citizens of 36 additional countries, a significant expansion of the travel ban announced by the Trump administration earlier this month, the report said.
Among the new list of countries that could face visa bans or other restrictions, according to the report, are 25 African countries, including important US partners such as Egypt and Djibouti, as well as countries in the Caribbean, Central Asia, and several Pacific Island nations.
