Two conscripts were killed and another 20 injured when a police vehicle overturned on the desert road close to Dalga village, south of Minya.
The victims were on their way to Dalga village to secure it.
A report of the incident has been filed while Minya governor Salah Eddin Zeyada and deputy Health Minister Amina Ragab visited the victims.
Traffic and and emergency services staff formed teams to remove the wreckage from the area.
