Up to 47 new humanitarian aid trucks enter Gaza through Rafah Crossing

An official source in North Sinai announced Saturday that 47 trucks carrying food, humanitarian and relief aid have entered into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing.

There, the Egyptian Red Crescent in North Sinai handed them over to its Palestinian counterpart, in the presence of a representative from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

Egyptian authorities in North Sinai continue to facilitate the entry of various aid trucks into the Gaza Strip, through the Rafah land crossing gate, in addition to receiving injured Palestinians and those with foreign passports.

The Rafah land crossing in North Sinai received 35 injured Palestinians and their companions from hospitals in Gaza Strip for treatment in hospitals in North Sinai and other Egyptian governorates.

An official medical source said that the crossing received 21 wounded Palestinians and 14 companions, who were transported in ambulances for necessary treatment to al-Arish General Hospital, Sheikh Zuweid in North Sinai, Abu Khalifa, the Ismailia Medical Complex, al-Taawoun in Port Said, Egyptian Children in Cairo, and the French Floating Hospital in the al-Arish sea port.

The source added that the injuries of the wounded Palestinians varied between wounds, fractures, shrapnel, and injuries to the head, eyes, and body.
