US dollar exchange rates maintained stable prices against the Egyptian pound on Sunday in several banks, falling by over LE1.75 since January 2019, according to the Central Bank of Egypt’s latest price.
According to price updates, the dollar settled at LE16.05 for purchase and LE16.15 for selling in the National Bank of Egypt and the Commercial Bank of Egypt.
The dollar recorded LE16.06 for purchase and LE16.16 for selling in the Arab African International Bank and the Suez Canal Bank.
The dollar was at LE16.05 for purchase and LE16.15 for selling in the National Bank of Greece.
Egypt floated the national currency on November 3, 2016. It devalued the Egyptian pound by about a third from the former peg of LE8.8 against the US dollar and allowed it to drift lower.
