US envoy to Sudan arrives in Egypt

 

U.S. Presidential Special Envoy to Sudan and South Sudan Donald Booth arrived in Cairo on Saturday.

Booth who tops a delegation coming from Addis Ababa will meet with several officials during his three-day visit.

Egyptian diplomatic sources, that received him at airport, said the visit comes within a tour in the region during which he will meet with several Egyptian officials as well as ones from the Arab League to coordinate on Sudanese issues and mull recent developments in Sudan. They will also tackle the Darfur peace agreement as well as issues of Abei, the Blue Nile and South Kurdufan.

The visit to Egypt is first for Booth, after he came to office in August, succeeding Princeton Lyman.
