The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts continued high temperatures across most of the country on Wednesday, with Greater Cairo expected to reach as high as 38C during the daytime.
The weather will be very hot throughout the country, particularly during peak hours from one to four pm.
Despite the heat, there will still be chances of light rain in parts of the northwestern coast and northern Lower Egypt, with a 20 percent possibility of moderately rainy, thundery weather in some areas of the Western Desert.
Some cloud cover is expected over parts of northern Upper Egypt, the southern Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities, particularly during the afternoon and into the evening.
There is also a slight chance of light, scattered showers.
The EMA advised citizens to avoid direct sun exposure, especially during midday. When going outdoors, it recommended to wear a hat to protect from the sun and to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent heat exhaustion.
